In eight years, Howie Grant Writing & Consulting has had three Impact 100 Westchester quarterfinalists (Country Children's Center, Community Center of Northern Westchester and Cerebral Palsy of Westchester), four semifinalists (Cerebral Palsy of Westchester three times, Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester, YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester and Westchester Exceptional Children's School) and eight finalists (Teatown Lake Reservation, Gilda's Club Westchester, Songcatchers, Westchester Exceptional Children's School, YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester twice, Lifting Up Westchester and Cerebral Palsy of Westchester). In 2016 and 2019, we won the $100,000 grand prizes for Latino U College Access and Gilda's Club Westchester. Congratulations all!

Five Howie Grant Writing & Consulting clients won 11 Westchester County Youth Bureau awards ranging from $21,921-$46,000 a year for three years. That's $1,397,763 in grant funding! Our 11 awards were 19% of the total of 57 awarded.

Lifting Up Westchester received one of CIGNA's $50,000 national awards in 2021 for its Next Generation Program.

Congratulations to three Howie Grant Writing & Consulting clients for winning NYS Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program grants. Lifting Up Westchester won $174,583 for a technology upgrade, the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester won $500,000 for a roof, and the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester won $1,000,000 for a roof. Congratulations, all!

Westchester Exceptional Children's School raises enough grant funds during 2014-2015 to purchase an iPad for every child in their school. The iPads are having a profound effect on the children's learning as all have severe disabilities including Autism, Down's Syndrome, etc.

PARC wins $716,700 HUD grant to purchase a home and convert it into a group home.

Teatown lake Reservation raises over $3 million to purchase The Croft estate adjacent to their preserve, enabling the preservation of 50 acres of open space.

Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester wins $125,000 from the Phelps Health Care Foundation to launch a home health aide transportation program.

Gilda's Club Westchester wins $134,000 five-year grant from the NYS Department of Health to implement a breast cancer outreach program.

Have won many national awards including Morgan Stanley Foundation grant for $50,000, Cigna Foundation Healther Kids for our Future's $50,000 grant, and TD Banks Housing for Everyone award for $75,000.

Personal impact -- Owner Lydia Howie secures $9000 grant for Burke Rehabilitation Hospital for the purchase of a sitcar (a half car used by rehab patients to practice car transference indoors). Years later, the car is used by her father during his rehab after a stroke.
